What is Protozoa?



 Answer: A type of parasite consists of a single cell like unit which is morphologically and functionally complete. E.g. Endameba hnstolytica.
What are Bacteria (singular –bacterium)?
Answer: Bacteria are prokaryotic microorganism multiply by binary fission having own metabolic acotivzy.  Many of the them are pathogenic. E.g. Streptococcus pyogen, staphylococcus aurous etc. What is virus?
Answer: A very tiny sub-cellular microorganism composed of protein and nucleic acid and cannot grow in extra cellular environment. Most of them are pathogenic. e.g hepatitis virus, polio virus, etc.

** What is microorganism and Classification of microorganism?
Answer: The word Micro-organism comes from two Greek words – (i) Mikros = tiny
                                                                                                                             (ii) Organ on= living being.                                                Micro-organism can be defined as very tiny usually microscopic entity capable carrying on living processes. It is also known as microbes. Example: protozoa, bacteria, virus, etc.                                    Classification of Micro-organism
According to biological character Microorganism can be classify as-
(a)    Eukaryote. e.g. Algae, fungi protozoa animal parasite.
(b)    Prokaryote. e.g. Bacteria, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma, rickettsia.
Sub-cellular. e.g. Virus, prion, virion
